Pardubice brewery uses only the best quality ingredients, exclusively of Czech origin. We use typical Czech hops called SAAZ, marked by a Protected Designation of Origin, and the finest Moravian malts grown in the famous region of Hanna. Local pure spring water is sourced from the nearby mountains which is soft and is used in the town as drinking water.
Generally Czech beers, especially the PILS type of lagers (Real Czech Pilsners) can be characterized by their “DRINKABILITY”.
“DRINKABILITY” of beer is defined and understood in the Czech Republic as the smoothness and ease of drinking a beer that is fresh, crisp, with a foamy head, with a full flavour balanced by the non-fermented malt sugars giving a boost of energy (like glucose), to deliver a fulfilling and satisfying consumer experience. Even after consuming 2 or 3 glasses the drinker is still left wanting another
glass - the DRINKABILITY of Czech beers, especially lagers. Perhaps this is the secret of why the Czech Republic is still the highest consuming beer nation in the world (per capita 145 l/year). These beers do not need to have a high content of alcohol (ABV 5% or less).
